Shutter replacement. I recently got a used canon 5d Mk IV for a really good price, however it obviously has a high shutter count. I got an estimate for a shutter replacement from the camera store that I bought it from and it was an insane amount. ($500+) I was wondering if anyone has had this done on a 5d and how much it costed.

Basically on a 1DX II, the focus system links the metering to the ability to follow focus BECAUSE the 1DX II has a ton of metering points. The 5D III, 5Ds, and 5DsR do not have nearly as many (but the 5D IV does). So on the 5D III, s, & sR the ability to track subjects just isn't linked to the metering -- but it's still a very good system.

I would like to upgrade my Canon 5D to a 5D Mark III but I'm also on a budget.
