The first question they will ask is which gearbox do you have as the C4 Picasso was fitted with either a proper auto box, or a piloted semi-automatic EGS box. The full auto box was only fitted to 2.0 diesels, but there was also an EGS version. I had one of those. The 1.6 diesel is only fitted with the EGS box (manual lso available).

Am I right in thinking that the semi auto has two gearboxes? Having driven back from the garage in M 17 miles and driven to Sheffield and back in A, round trip of about 40 miles with no issue but then yesterday a slight jerk between gears in Auto, would it be jus an auto gearbox issue?

You'll have trouble selling it without getting the transmission fixed, so I would recommend that you take it to a transmission specialist and at least get it assessed and quoted so you know what you're up for. I doubt that the trade would be interested in it, unless you could perhaps convince a Citroen Hi guys, thanks for having me on this site first time I've had a Citroen only just bought it from auction got it home to find this problem. First off, it's a 2009 C4 Grand Picasso 1.6 petrol with only 45,000 miles from new with 1 owner, Greater Manchester Police, very nice clean car and well looked after. The car DID misbehave during a dealer test-drive. Citroen UK now acknowledge that there is a major problem, caused by the Stop & Start System ( Eco Mode) malfunctioning on all cars that have it.
